10/28/14: Day 239: Scouting

Charlotte slept well last night but I was anxious about returning to the States. Dan helped me cook breakfast and we all ate together. Then at 9:45, mom and I went out to meet César and Eliza. They were there waiting on us when we arrived and we explained the situation to them as it now stands. Then we went to their house and met their new baby and family. Samuel was there too so I was able to have some valuable time talking to him. Then we went to a city called Candelaria de la Frontera. There was a good grocery store there and we stopped to talk with the police about security. There is a church there but it only has about 20 people that attend and there are about 22K living in the city. The church there also has no permeant preacher so that might be a good opportunity to work with them. Then we went back to Santa Ana and had lunch at the mall. After lunch we checked out two communities within Santa Ana. When we had finished scouting all the areas that we could we went back to César’s house to drop them off. There we discovered that mom had accidently picked up Della’s phone so that explained why Della hadn’t been answering my calls. Then I showed mom some buildings in Santa Ana that are critical for obtaining residency here. On our way home, we decided to take the scenic route through Los Naranjos. We arrived home about 4:30 and then had dinner as a big family. Then we got on Skype and reported our findings to Dad. The day ended by mom, Leanna, Christina and Dan on a team and I playing a couple of games of Blockus. I won the first and then Christina,s team won the second.
