10/13/14: Day 224: Earthquake

We stayed home all day today. I spent the morning reading the entire book of Mark and then the afternoon studying Qué Dice La Bibla. Della and I are both still adjusting to Charlotte’s sleeping. We have not slept for more than 3.5 hours in a row for over a month now. In the evening we watched a movie that had good reviews but turned out slow and disappointing. When we were in bed, Della was rocking a little to get Charlotte to sleep. I said “I think I feel an earthquake” and Della thought I was making fun of her. The earthquake kept going and going and getting bigger and bigger. The bed moved the doors swung back and forth, the lights flickered, and we got pretty scared. Della asked “what should we do?” So I started praying. The quake lasted at about 3 or 4 minutes and ended up being the biggest and longest I have ever experienced!
