We shared our frustrations of trying to take care of Charlotte in the darkness last night this morning at breakfast with Lucky. Lucky had been so tired that she didn’t even know that the power had gone out. She told a story of how she was in El Salvador visiting her grandmother with her first born. She said that in the night the fighting broke out and she could hear explosions and bullets outside the door. She said she had the smallest flashlight in the world and was desperately trying to keep her baby quiet so they wouldn’t know she was there. Stories like that change your perspective. Eva came over and visited Charlotte and Della after the morning service. Then we rested a bit. Then I studied Spanish until time for the afternoon service. When we got home we watched a movie on the projector for the first time in a while. Charlotte is one month old today (according to the calender.)
P.S. I found this video tonight. It made me laugh because it is how I feel about Spanish.
