I went to the church building at 9:00 and waited out front for a few minutes. Then the door opened and it turned out Samuel had arrived earlier to read the bible. I practiced my lesson with him before setting out and he said he was impressed. At the first house we didn’t use the lesson because there were more pressing matters to pray about. But then we visited three other houses and I had the opportunity to give it a go at each. The first lady was older and she didn’t understand me clearly so Samuel had to help a lot. The next two both responded to all my questions and acted as if they understood well so I am happy. This was my first attempt to teach in Spanish. The lesson centered on Matthew 5:13-16, Salt and Light. I mostly read everything and when I had trouble Samuel had to help me. So this is not really much to brag about. We were only visiting the recent converts in order to encourage and mature them. It rained pretty hard off and on all morning but we managed to stay dry. We quit at 12:00 so we could get lunch. Lucky made spaghetti and said there was plenty for all so we went back to the house. We had a bit of trouble from a drunken guy along the way but thankfully it wasn’t a big deal. After lunch I rested because I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night due to poor Charlotte. Lucky and I went to the Ataco bible study at 5:30 and it lasted till 6:45. Carlos was there and he was tired from his new-born too. I was hopeful that Charlotte would sleep well tonight but sadly, she put up a fight.
