4/7/14: Day 36: 80% Girl!

I worked on a lesson for the first ten chapters of Deuteronomy all morning. For lunch Lucky cooked amazing chicken burritos that were fried and had avocado on top. I told her that I finally found a restaurant that I wanted to take all my friends to; “Lucky’s Kitchen”. At 12:40 we got a call saying that Linda (Carlos’ wife) was waiting on us at the bus stop so Della and I rushed to the market to get copies of Della’s records. I got a couple of low quality chess sets while Della waited then we went to the ATM. We then went back to the house and Della, Lucky, and I got in the van and went to pick up Linda and another lady from the church in Ahuachapán. We all then drove to Sonsonate to meet the OBGYN. We got there at 1:35 and the doctor arrived at 2:10. While we waited for our turn Hector called and said he was stuck in San Salvador so he could not make it to the small group tonight. I had my lesson with me so Lucky looked over it so she could translate tonight in Hector’s place. Carlos and Linda had their turn first. They had good reports. Then it was our turn at 3:00. The OBGYN said that she was 80% sure that our baby is going to be a girl!! She said Della needed to gain a few pounds. Della said she wanted some fish but didn’t know where to get it so the OBGYN said to meet her at the clinic Wednesday at 9:00 and we would go to the market together! Della and I both really like the OBGYN. We then went out to fulfill our prescriptions and got pizza to go for everyone. We then rushed back and got in the van at 4:40. We arrived at Shucutitan right on time 5:30. The lesson went really well, Lucky translated well. Bryan and his brother Ronald arrived shortly after we got home. Lucky, Bryan, Ronald and I played two games of Blockus. Then I tried to explain how to play The Boss but I found out I was missing a card. So we played two games of Tesoro and called it a night.

We are going to name our baby girl Charlotte. After the most humble person I have ever met, my mother!
