4/20/14: Day 49: Tomás

I woke up at 5:30 AM to have access to the internet, it pretty much only works from 5:30 to 6:30 every day.  After I finished with the internet I read some of the book of Judges. Lucky cooked breakfast at 8:00 and we left for the church building at 8:30. Paolo led the singing and several others prayed. Some of the contacts we made Friday were with us this morning! At the break Della and I went back to the house to teach the teens on the book of Joshua and Tomás stayed and preached. The lesson for the teens went well; a couple of the girls took notes. Della explained that it was important to clean up after yourself and not spit seeds in the floor like they did Friday night. When service ended we had to go out to eat again because we were still out of food. We tried a new restaurant but when we say the prices on the menu we decided to try another. We found the best for the price yet. It had a beautiful garden that we ate in and Della and I ate fresh Lasagna. Hector arrived shortly after we got back to the house. He talked to Tomás for hours while I finished reading the book of Judges. After they finished talking I managed to get a little more information about the visas. He said he would have Rachel check the requirements when he got home since we didn’t have internet. Hector preached the second service and then he wanted to take Tomás out for dinner so we tagged along. When we got home Tomás and his kids watched the Lego movie. Bryan came over and we worked on folding an origami flying Hercules beetle. We worked on it until 9:00 and then he had to go home. Rachel called and said that after reading the requirements for the visa we now have to find the registered person of the churches of Christ for El Salvador and get several things from him in addition to other stuff. I am beginning to wonder if we are going to make it on the visa. We have to have everything submitted by the end of next week or we will have to come back to the states. Please pray about this!

Tomorrow Della, Lucky, and I are traveling to San Salvador to work on the Visa.

Tuesday night Lucky and I are going to study with him about the Holy Spirit.
