4/15/14: Day 44: First Procession

I finished the public/private key file encryption application I was writing. Then we ate lunch and left for the furniture crafters. Lucky, Della, and I visited several shops to compare prices. We went today because, among other things, we needed more beds for the teens for Friday night. We ended up buying a baby bed, bunk bed, and a table that seats eight. They asked us if we wanted them to stained the table and we told them no and thought they were joking. We then went back to Rachael’s house to get vouchers for the haircuts, medical help, and food that will be distributed by the Puerto Rican group on Friday in Ataco. I left at 2:30 and took the bus back to the house to meet the furniture delivery people. Della and Lucky took the van to have a bible study with the ladies that work during church time. I waited from 3:00 until 5:00 for the delivery. Della and Lucky arrived at the same time as the furniture. Turns out they ignored us and stained the table despite us telling them not too, but Della said she could live with it. The baby bed will not be delivered until tomorrow morning. Outside, they are setting up for holy week processions which close the streets. Thankfully there is a back way to get to the house. Tonight we decided to stop going to the Tuesday night small group studies. This way we can have one night off a week to entertain people for dinner. After dinner Della, Lucky and I watched Frozen. About half way through the parade went by our door so we all stood and watched and took pictures while in our pajamas.
