4/10/14: Day 39: Food Delivery

Woke up at 5:30 AM to finish the lesson for tonight on Deuteronomy. I met Carlos at the church building at 8:30 and we loaded all but one of the bags of food into the van. I then went back to the house to get Della and we went to Shucutitan and some nearby areas to deliver the food (See pics). The bags were rather heavy and in one place there was a big scary dog. We finished delivering the food at 11:30 and Della and I went home to eat. I finished the lesson while Della and Lucky went out for lunch. Carlos arrived at 2:00 and we went to the outskirts of Ataco to meet some new contacts for when the Puerto Rico mission group will be working in Ataco on the 18th. Carlos and I worked one side of the street while Della and Lucky worked the other.  We finished about 3:30 with several new contacts and a few bible studies lined up for the future. Then Della and I went home while Carlos and Lucky went to another bible study. At 5:00 I went to the church building and got the last bag of food and took it to the small group study for Carlos and Lucky to deliver nearby. The small group study lasted until 6:45 and then we all talked until 7:00. We all ate chicken cooked in the crockpot for dinner and then Bryan came over and we set up a time to meet the rest of his family and finished the origami Pegasus.

Things to pray about / concerns:
  • Tomorrow: Della has baby tests in Sonsonate
  • Only one teen so far has committed to the youth rally in San Salvador for the 19th
