Lucky cooked breakfast and then we went out to deliver the
rest of the vouchers at 9:30. Lucky lost hers so I had to go home and print new
ones. We handed out several for food and doctor consultations but only a few
wanted haircuts. We decided to make a sign “Free Hair Cuts”. I will be
surprised if we get overwhelmed by people wanting their free haircut. Bryan
walked with us the entire morning except for when he stepped in a big pile of
dog poo and had to go home and wash it off. We delivered vouchers until 12:00
then we went back to the house for lunch. After lunch, Lucky, Della, and I took
the dog for a walk and had ice cream. At 2:30 we went to the church building to
help organize for tomorrow. At 3:30 we went to the market to get fruit for
snacks tomorrow. Then Linda, and Ava came back home with us. Carlos arrived
shortly after with a carton of ice cream for us to store until tomorrow. They
all left at 5:00. At 5:30 Della, Lucky, and I went to the small group study for
Ataco. I taught a lesson on the defeat at Ai and Lucky translated. We finished
at 6:15 and went back to the house. The park square is roped off to allow only
foot traffic and there is a lot more people here than usual. Across the street
from the house a ]guy set up his music and played until 9:45. Bryan’s mom
(Dina) and his brother (Ronald) joined us dinner. We had a wonderful time and I
got to learn a little more Spanish. We all enjoyed the music. They left at
9:00.
Tomorrow the clinic/food distribution/haircuts will begin at 2:00 and last until
7:00 and we have more work to do to get ready for it.
Pray that people are reached and that needs are met!
