6/5/14: Day 95: Clifton Teaches

Della and I took Maria (Edgardo’s mom) and her granddaughter to San Salvador to get Maria’s passport. We have made many trips to San Salvador lately. We left Clifton at the house to prepare a lesson for tonight on Esther. We arrived at the mall that had the passport office at 9:30. The line was pretty long so Della and I went to look around while Maria and her granddaughter waited. There was a Walmart attached to this mall so we decided to check it out. We found several household items that would have been much cheaper to have gotten here but it was too late.  The tires on the new car are bald so I decided to get new ones while we waited. The tire technician looked exactly like George Clooney! Then Della discovered that Walmart sold packaged salmon. She got really excited, bought a cooler and all the salmon she could get. She said this was one of the best days ever. We then ate lunch at Burger King and Maria got her passport at 12:00. After they finished eating we headed home. Traffic was kind of hectic with the rain but we made it home at 2:50. We all were tired so we took a short nap. Hector and Carlos woke us up ringing the doorbell at 3:30. They visited for a bit and Hector tried to make some origami. Hector said that the old houses for three families are now demolished and the rain prevented the delivery of the new materials for rebuilding. He said that they will hopefully now arrive tomorrow at 8:00 AM. Then we went to the small group study in Ataco. Clifton taught the lesson and Hector interpreted. The lesson went really well and they served hot chocolate afterwards.
