5/4/14: Day 63: Mother’s Day Gifts

I worked on my bible reading while Hector preached. He wants us to cover both 1st and 2nd Samuel in a single week. Next week he wants to cover 1st and 2nd Kings and 1st and 2nd Chronicles! That is four books in a single week! The teens came over for class and we had a craft laid out for them to make for their mother’s day gift. The idea was for them to use oil pens to write on a coffee mug and then bake the mugs to make the markings permanent. We had eight teens. One said she couldn’t do it so Della drew it. Then two others rushed over to the sink and washed theirs off insisting that Della do theirs too. I told them that their mom would appreciate the personal touch. After class Paolo went to lunch with us. We were going to eat spaghetti but the meat wasn’t thawed so we had to eat out. I ate one of the worst hamburgers. It is the terrible ketchup that ruined it. Paolo and I resumed work on our origami scorpions when we got home. We had started it back on Easter when we took the teens to the big youth rally in San Salvador. We didn’t quite make it to finish before the second service; we probably lack about two more hours. Noé preached during the second service and gave some mangoes for Della and Lucky.

Tomorrow is our second doctor appointment for Della. I am super excited about getting to see our baby!
