5/14/14: Day 73: Solomon’s Prayer

Today was my third Spanish class. We continued down the list to the next 10 verbs ending with ar. I found out today that the main teacher that is “really good” is on vacation and will be back at June 1st. So I am hopeful that I can learn better when she starts teaching. I went to the grocery store after class and got strawberries for Della. When I got home I finished up the lesson for tonight. Then Della, Lucky, and I went out to lunch to celebrate Lucky’s real birthday & mother’s day for Della. Apparently Lucky’s birth was registered late. While we were eating it started raining. After lunch I went to get a few things from the market. When I got home I started working on the lesson for tomorrow. The lesson will be on Rehoboam and how he followed bad advice.

For church, I stood at the front while Carlos and Lucky sat on the front row facing me. Carlos read on que and Lucky interpreted as I talked. We had six different prayers to match different aspects for Solomon’s prayer of dedication for the temple. The crowd was a bit slim due to the rain but the lesson seemed to go very well.

Tomorrow we will be traveling to San Salvador to get a visa extension for Lucky.
