Carlos came by the house at 8:30 and took Lucky to do the zip lines. I stayed
back with Della and rested a bit. At 12:30 Della and I went to Apaneca to get
Lucky because she was finished. We decided to drive around Apaneca to see if
there was anything for rent. As we were looking we found a cool restaurant /
hotel / museum. They served Italian food and had a large collection of Starwars
and Xmen figurines. The owner spoke fluent English, Spanish, and Italian. He
said this was his personal collection from over several years. His prices were
good but we had already eaten lunch so I hope to go back soon! We attended the
bible study in Triunfo from 5:30 till 6:45 with five other members from
Gainesville. After the study I went back to the house to get Della and we all
ate together with Gainesville at the same restaurant that I celebrated my
anniversary at Wednesday. This was the goodbye dinner. I feel I have made close
friends and I was greatly encouraged over just this one short week that they
were here with us. I hope to keep in contact with them and see them again soon!
During dinner we received news that Warner’s (the preacher at Ciudad Real)
mother-in-law had passed away. So after saying goodbye to everyone, Della,
Lucky, and I drove to Ciudad Real to give our condolences. We arrived back home
about 1:20 AM.
