9/8/14: Day 190: Convenience

I studied most of the morning. I am now half way through reading the book of Mark out loud in Spanish with Lucky helping me to get the pronunciations correct. At 1:00 Della and I went to the market to get eggs and a baby blanket. She is only 4 days away! Then at 2:00 I met Ricardo to practice Spanish and show him my Spanish app. At 4:00 the teens and some others came to the church building to watch the movie, God’s Not Dead. The movie had some good messages but in the end it was not true to the bible as far as God’s plan of salvation. It is amazing to me how Hollywood and many people in the world think they can make up a plan that is convenient and then follow it and think they are saved.  God makes the plan, the only choice we have is follow it or not. Anyways, now I feel like I am one of those guys on a soap box. The movie did spark some good conversation and there were 13 people in all that attended. At 7:00 I went back home and waited to have a virtual Skype meeting. Hector is in the states and he is having dinner with mom, dad, Jim, David, and an elder. (David and Jim are on the missions committee of the congregation that is supporting us). The purpose was to discuss how mom and dad would best begin their work here in January.  The meeting went well and I am thankful for all the wisdom and thought that went into it. After that, I got to skype with Christina (My sister) and Dan for an hour; I sure miss them.
