Charlotte kept us up most of the night. She was up till 11:00 PM; woke up again at 1:00 AM. She slept again at 3:00 AM but woke up again at 4:00 AM. And she finally went to sleep good at 7:00 AM… I tried to study Spanish some today. I managed to work through another 60 words in the 501 Spanish Verbs book and then I read two chapters of Mark out loud to Lucky. She is still correcting me often. Charlotte got fussy again this afternoon and I held her till she exploded. She hadn’t really pooped any yesterday but this made up for it. It went all up her back and through her clothes and on her blanket. I felt sorry for her. I tried to put myself in her shoes by imaging what I would feel like if I had just had one proportional. She ended up having a total of three similar movements today; each requiring a new outfit. One even got all over a pillow and the bed. Della said it looked like the color of pumpkin.
I am thankful beyond words that I have this opportunity to support Della and Charlotte. If I was in the states I know at some point very soon I would be saying something to the effect of “Della, you need to keep her quiet for me so I sleep and be focused for work tomorrow.” I am so thankful that my studying of Spanish can work around the schedule of my beautiful wife and precious child.
This evening, I was waiting for Della to finish feeding Charlotte, killing a little time on YouTube. I found this video and laughed till I cried. It is even funnier to me because I can’t wait to do it to Charlotte. I wish I could share it with Della but she would laugh and it would bust her sides open. Just a little cough causes her to have grimacing pain.
