At 8:00 Lucky and I had a bible study with a young man named Jose. We studied
for two hours explaining God’s plan of salvation and answering questions about
people who claimed to be healers. Then Della decided she needed a brownie from
The House of Coffee. At 12:30 we went to the doctor and I read some of Mark in
Spanish as we waited. We also met a man who told us about a city called Jayaque
that sounded safe and beautiful. We were seen by the doctor shortly after. Our
doctor had sprung her little finger but she said she would take off the splint
for the surgery tomorrow. She gave us each a natural sedative to take tonight and
said that this would be our last peaceful night. She then did an ultrasound and
said that she calculated that little Charlotte was 7 pounds and very ready. The
doctor gave us a good report on everything and told us some items that Della
needed to buy. So we then went to the mall and had lunch at pizza hut. Then we
got the requested articles of clothing and had to go to four pharmacies before
we found what we needed. Then we decided to go see Jayaque. It was about 45
minutes of driving toward San Salvador from Sonsonate. It had about the
population of Ataco and very beautiful scenery and climate. As I was exploring
I turned down a dead end street and nearly got the car stuck. We managed to get
home by 7:30 and I talked with family on Skype for the rest of the night.
8:00: Big breakfast for Della
9:55: Watermelon for Della and she can have no more water or food past this.
????: At some point Lucky and I have to make a final trip to Ahuachapán for groceries
2:30: Arrive at the clinic in Sonsonate
3:00: Arrive at the hospital in Sonsonate
5:00: C-Section should last about 45 minutes
6:00 and on: Love our baby!
