7/30/14: Day 150: Injection

Della broke out with a low grade fever last night so she called the doctor and we are going in at 3:00. Her doctor is normally off today but she is coming in just to meet Della. I studied from Spanish 7 – 11 and then a little more in the afternoon. I am now about 1/3 of the way through chapter 5 of the Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Vocabulary book. We were worried that Della might have something really serious but the doctor quickly diagnosed it as an infection. The doctor said Della will have to have an injection every day in the hip for the next 5 days! She demonstrated for me on a roll of paper towels to teach me the procedure. We hoped that the laboratory in Ataco would be open but when we got there they were already closed. So I administered the injection. This was the first time I had ever given a shot in my life. I am confident that Della will be better soon but she is having a tough time with it for now. I went to get dinner for Della and then I went to the Wednesday night service.  On the way home, I found the biggest grasshopper I have ever seen!

In the face

Biggest I have ever seen!

  1. You are brave to give injections, I am not sure I could do that. I hope Della is feeling better!!
