7/18/14: Day 138: Goodbye

Hector arrived right on time to get Brad, Jen and Phil and their luggage. I took Della, mom, and Clifton and their luggage down to the hotel. From there we followed the bus all the way to the airport. The bus got stopped by the police but they only kept them for a moment. I enjoyed my last chance to visit with Clifton and mom. At the airport we all said our goodbyes and it took a lot less time than I hoped. Samuel had ridden the bus with everyone else but he rode with us back. We went to Taco Bell and got lunch and then got a mattress for the baby in the mall. Then we took Della to Walmart and Samuel and I went took the car to change the oil and fix the air conditioner. The mechanic drove us back to Walmart and we hung out there while we waited. They had started working on the car at 12:30 so we took a taxi back to the car at 2:00. They had finished the repairs and offered a free car wash. So we stood there and waited till 3:00 while they gave it a thorough washing inside and out. We had hoped to get some paper work done in Santa Ana with the residency and driver’s license but those offices closed at 4:00. So we grabbed some lunch and then went to the mall in Santa Ana to get a bouncy chair for baby Charlotte. We got home at 5:30 and went to bed. I woke up after a couple of hours and at 10:30 I called to find that Central had arrived home safely.
